A. e-SPECS Linx is our stand-alone editor, with our patented checklist technology and expanded editing functionality.
e-SPECS for Revit possess all the functionality of e-SPECS Linx, with the additional possibility of integration with Autodesk’s Revit applications.
e-SPECS Designer is a separate application that allows firms to integrate a custom office master or extend their existing spec library for use within both e-SPECS Linx and e-SPECS for Revit.
A. Due to our partner agreements, we are not currently able to offer a trial copy. We do offer regularly scheduled webinars and 1-on-1 demos, as well as a 30 day right-of-return on all software products.
A. e-SPECS is a SQL server based application. We ship with Microsoft SQL Server Express (which is a freely distributed copy for those firms without a server installed).
A. A free software application used to provide redline/markup capabilities to e-SPECS based projects.
A. Both annual Term licenses or Perpetual licenses are available.
A. Term based licensing is a yearly subscription to use the e-SPECS software. Perpetual licensing gives your firm ownership of the software, with yearly software maintenance to cover technical support and product updates.
A. As we offer Term and Perpetual licensing options, there are different options for your yearly cost. Term licenses are paid annually. Perpetual is a one-time fee with optional maintenance each year to keep receiving upgrades, updates, and access to live tech support.
A. If a firm does not pay the perpetual maintenance, your firm will not receive live technical support, updates or upgrades to the software. You will still have access to all current projects as well as the current functionality of the software.
A. e-SPECS Linx and e-SPECS for Revit are licensed on a floating, concurrent network license. This means any number of office computers may have the software installed, but the system will check out the purchased of seats on a first-come, first-serve basis. e-SPECS Designer and the e-SPECS for Revit Plugin are licensed on a per-PC install.
A. e-SPECS will function in a Mac/Apple environment when using Boot Camp, which is freely included with every Apple desktop or laptop. Or you can purchase Parallels to run Windows on a Mac environment.

A. No, these webinars are free and allow users to learn more about the various e-SPECS solutions.
A. A license of e-SPECS begins at just $575. Please contact our trained sales engineers for more information specific to your workflow and current promotions.
A. Each license of e-SPECS for Revit includes 1 Plugin, which are licensed per-PC. Additional Plugins are available at a nominal charge.
A. No, this will only allow the e-SPECS Revit Plugin to communicate with the e-SPECS for Revit software. The e-SPECS Revit Plugin Console is a per-PC install and is independent of the e-SPECS for Revit client application.
A. e-SPECS is already integrated with AIA MasterSpec but your firm will need to purchase an AIA MasterSpec subscription or keep current your AIA MasterSpec subscription through ARCOM in order to access their content within e-SPECS.
A. You will need to purchase or renew your AIA MasterSpec subscription through the sole distributor, ARCOM. You can do this by calling them at 1-800-424-5080.
A. You will need a current AIA MasterSpec subscription through ARCOM if you wish to utilize their content within our e-SPECS software.
