George E. Libby, CSI, CDT, SCIP
George E. Libby is the company’s Director of Specification Writing Services. He has over twenty-five years of construction documents experience in Architectural and Engineering disciplines and Project Management and has been writing specifications as a Construction Specification Institute certified Construction Documents Technologist since 1993, including hundreds of project manuals for InterSpec clients across the country. Prior to joining InterSpec, George served as Product Specification Writer and Project Manager for a leading manufacturer of building products. George has an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Building Construction Technology from the Southern Maine Technical College. He supplemented his education by completing Integrated Management at the University of Southern Maine.
Sheri L. Shaw, AIA, NCARB, CDT
Sheri Shaw has over fifteen years of contract document preparation. In the course of her career, she has been responsible for all phases of project coordination, serving as lead designer, project manager, and client liaison. Sheri is a registered architect in Maine. She earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
Jeffrey D. O’Gorman, PE, CSI, CDT
Jeff O’Gorman has over twenty years of contract document preparation. In the course of his career, he has been responsible for all phases of project coordination, serving as lead designer, project manager, and client liaison. Jeff is a registered professional engineer in Maine and Wisconsin and a certified Construction Documentation Technologist. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Resource Engineering from the SUNY School of Environmental Science and Forestry and a Master of Arts Degree in Technical Communication from Texas Tech University. He is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute and the Society for Technical Communication.
Christopher Grimm, CSI, CCS, SCIP, LEED AP BD+C
Chris Grimm has over twenty years in documentation of construction projects, the past ten years being entirely dedicated to specifications for a wide variety of project types, sizes, and complexities, across the U.S. and overseas. Following Chris’s completion of e-SPECS implementation for SmithGroupJJR and four years of leading the specifications group, Chris was delighted to join the InterSpec team as a project specifier. Prior to SmithGroupJJR, Chris worked as an architectural specifier at Arcom writing MasterSpec updates and new specification sections, testing software, and reviewing product information submitted from manufacturers. Chris holds CSI’s Certified Construction Specifier certification, and has been continuously active in CSI leadership since 2004. Chris also participates in Specifications Consultants in Independent Practice (SCIP), and holds the USGBC’s LEED AP BD+C accreditation.
Scott Vonnegut, CSI, CCS, LEED AP
Scott Vonnegut has worked at leading national and regional architectural firms on the East and West Coasts and the Southeast. He has worked on a number of different building types including Airports, Criminal Justice Facilities and large Hospital projects. His years of experience in designing and managing building projects throughout the country give him a depth of knowledge about products and systems when writing specifications for clients. Working collaboratively, he carefully crafts specifications that incorporate the design features and performance that clients want their projects to achieve.
Educated at the Rhode Island School of Design, Scott has continued to build upon his expertise about building design and construction. He is a Certified Construction Specifier and an active member of CSI where he is Director at his local Chapter. He is a registered architect in six states, and is a LEED Accredited Professional. He is also a member of a number of professional organizations including the American College of Healthcare Architects.
Lisa Drew-Alton, NCARB, LEED AP BD+D
Lisa Drew-Alton has been practicing architecture for 36 years and has extensive project management experience. She was the first LEED AP in Springfield, MO and has participated in the design and construction of many LEED certified projects in that area. She enjoys researching the latest building materials technologies and writing technical specifications. Always one to ensure quality in all projects she works on, Lisa is excited to join the team of InterSpec professionals striving for excellence in spec writing and providing added value to any architectural firm that employs the team. In addition, Lisa is thrilled to be working with nationally respected design firms.
Elsa Boyden, Arch, OAA, RSW
Elsa Boyden has over 19 years of experience in the architectural and construction industry in North and South America. Expertise includes editing, writing and coordinating technical specifications for multidisciplinary projects in the Institutional, governments, health, commercial, transportation, and industrial sectors in Canada and The United States, LEED targeted projects, with different types of Contracts and methods of delivery.
Elsa is experienced in coordinating with Designers, Project Management and Owners in the preparation of General Requirements (Division 1) and Procurement and Contracting Requirements (Division 0) to ensure all written documentation is accurately incorporated into the contract documents. Her expertise includes researching, evaluating and approving construction materials and products to satisfy the client’s needs and to comply with building code regulations.
Elsa has extensive knowledge of Building Science and other aspects of the building envelope, and of LEED’s green building principles and concepts, and other Sustainability initiatives. She has the ability to coordinate with Clients, Architects, (Interior) Designers and Consultants remotely to prepare Procurement and Technical Documentation, for a variety of projects. Elsa’s other experience includes, design, production of construction documents, cost estimating, programming, project control, business development, and marketing.
Birgit Jerrier, Administrative Assistant, is responsible for quality assurance and packaging for all project manuals. She has been with InterSpec for more than 14 years and in that time has worked on thousands of project manuals. She has received many accolades from InterSpec clients for her extreme attention to detail and follow up.
Sara Jewell, Account Manager, joined InterSpec after an interstate move with experience as a project manager at a lighting rep firm in the Boston market. Her attention to detail and dedication to customer service make Sara a natural fit as an Account Manager for InterSpec’s Specification Service Team. She is here to provide proposals, assist with any questions and ensure that your project is delivered as expected without any surprises – except to exceed your expectations.
