Oklahoma State University joins the e-SPECS for Educators Program

InterSpec announced today that Oklahoma State University (OSU) Architectural and Engineering Program will be teaching students and future Architects and Engineers the construction document process using e-SPECS.

The College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology is integrating the coordination of BIM modeling and specification process into the Spring 2013 Project Management course. Students will be tasked with designing components for a 40,000 SF theater project and coordinated construction specifications. “We’re teaching the future of specification writing through the integration of the BIM models so students can bring this knowledge to their future employers,” stated Tom Spector, Professor. As per the course overview, “By the end of the semester, students will have developed a project management binder which will contain completed samples of the most important phases of design and construction.”
